There is no marketing without content. Most of the communication that goes on between brands and their audiences are sponsored on the wings of content. Think of your favourite advert, it is content. Your content could take on any format: Visuals, Texts, Audio. I see content as knowledge or information.
.
.
For some years now, I have been able to build my online presence and sell more through content. With this post, I will expose you to things I keep in mind when creating content. They are easy to comprehend and enact.
.
.
One, I think about who I am writing to or creating the content for and the purpose of that communication. That way, I learn to speak their language and tailor my content around their preferences, interests, and needs. When I think of this, I tend to cover my bases on, how educated are they? Woke...? etc. Once you know your audience, you can tailor your content to appeal to them.
.
.
I sometimes think of what catchy headlines to use. Understand that your headline is the first thing people will see, so make sure it's attention-grabbing. Use strong verbs, numbers, and keywords to make people want to learn more. A good headline piques curiosity and encourages your readers and audience to delve into your content.
.
.
I use stories. I will make a comprehensive content on storytelling but here is what a good story does for you; It makes your content more interesting and memorable. Stories can also help to illustrate points and connect with your audience on an emotional level. Share real-life anecdotes and examples to help your audience know, like and trust you.
.
.
One of the objectives of writing or creating content is for engagement. As a principle I hold so dear, I see no reason why my audience would engage with a content I create an I ignore them. When others come to that content and see me actively interacting in the comments, they leave more engagements on the content that way, It boosts the relevancy of that content on the platform it was posted.
.
.
I also like to stay consistent with my publishing schedule. It helps build anticipation. Keeping it short is another strategy I use in syncing with the short attention span people have these days.
.
.
Humor can make your content more enjoyable to read and help to build rapport with your audience. Just be careful not to go overboard, as too much humor can be distracting. I use it sparingly.
